Heather Jansch
Heather Jansch (1948–2021) was a British sculptor best known for her striking life-size horse sculptures made from reclaimed driftwood. Working from her studio in Devon, she developed a distinctive approach that combined a deep understanding of equine anatomy with an intuitive, organic use of found materials.
Jansch’s work captures both the power and sensitivity of the horse, with each sculpture shaped by the natural curves and textures of the wood itself. Her pieces have been exhibited widely across the UK and internationally, and are held in private collections around the world.
